With over five years' experience across NHS, clinical, and community mental health settings, I have supported people facing a wide range of emotional, behavioural, and psychological challenges.
Before training as an Art Psychotherapist, I spent more than 20 years working in education. This included five years teaching English as a Foreign Language to adults and children in the UK and overseas, and 15 years working within Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) services, providing intensive behavioural support to neurodivergent and highly traumatised young people.
These experiences deepened my understanding that behaviour is often a form of communication and can reflect unmet emotional needs or difficult life experiences.
My own life experiences have also shaped the way I work. I know first-hand that traditional systems and environments do not work for everyone. These experiences inspire my commitment to offering therapy that is accessible, flexible, and tailored to each person's unique needs rather than expecting people to fit into a particular mould.

Outside of my professional work, I feel most connected when spending time in nature and with animals. Horses have always been an important part of my life, and I share my home with two large dogs who keep me active, grounded, and constantly remind me of the value of connection, play, and being present in the moment.
